Mobile production company BTS Entertainment has announced that its upcoming music festival BTS: Music Revolution will go on sale on Friday.
The festival, which is expected to draw more than 15 million people in the first weekend, will be the first of its kind in the world, with BTS managing director Lee Min-jung and his team working together with festival organizers.
The company, which was founded by former member of the K-pop group BIGBANG, has been promoting the event as a showcase for the group’s music, with Lee and others visiting music venues to tour with the group.
The concert is the latest BTS-related initiative to sell out in a matter of days.
Last year, the group sold out its first music festival, the 2017 edition of which was held at Tokyo’s Saitama Super Arena.
The group, which will be hosting the second edition of its upcoming Music Revolution festival, also recently began streaming music videos of its songs during the event.BTS is a group that has been consistently releasing quality music, but has not always been able to bring it to the masses.
After a successful debut in 2015, BTS was hit with a major label crisis in 2017 and disbanded.
BTS later reformed, but this time with a different management team.
The group was also hit with legal trouble in 2018, but released their new album, I Am BTS, in November 2018.
The new music festival will feature BTS members as well as many other celebrities.
The BTS group has also been promoting several music festivals this year, including the 2017 EDC Festival and the 2018 Coachella music festival.
